Safety signs aren't just a legal requirement — they're how you protect your people, your visitors, and your business. At DE Signs North East, we manufacture and supply a full range of HSE-compliant safety signs for workplaces, construction sites, warehouses, schools, and public buildings across Newcastle and the North East. From fire exit signs to hazard warnings, every sign we produce meets UK safety standards and is built to last in demanding environments.
Fire exit, fire alarm, fire extinguisher identification, and assembly point signs. All photoluminescent options available for visibility in darkness.
Hazard warning signs for electrical, chemical, hot surface, slippery floor, and overhead risks. Yellow triangle format compliant with BS EN ISO 7010.
PPE requirement signs — hard hat, safety boots, high-vis, eye protection, ear defenders. Blue circle format as required by health and safety regulations.
No smoking, no entry, no access, no parking. Red circle with diagonal line format for clear, universal communication.
Emergency exits, escape routes, first aid stations, and safety equipment locations. Green square format as specified by safety regulations.
Site-specific safety signage tailored to your premises. Multi-hazard signs, site rules boards, visitor safety information, and bespoke warning panels.
All our safety signs are manufactured to meet BS EN ISO 7010 standards, ensuring they use the correct symbols, colours, and formats required by UK health and safety law. We produce safety signs on a range of durable materials:
Under the Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996, employers are legally required to display appropriate safety signage where risks cannot be eliminated by other means. Failure to comply can result in HSE enforcement notices, fines, and increased liability in the event of accidents.
Beyond legal compliance, clear safety signs reduce workplace accidents, protect visitors from hazards, and demonstrate that you take health and safety seriously. In a well-signed environment, everyone knows where the exits are, what hazards to watch for, and what protective equipment they need.
We visit your premises to identify all required safety signage — fire exits, hazards, mandatory PPE, and safe conditions.
We provide a complete schedule listing every sign, its location, type, and material — so nothing is missed.
All signs are manufactured in-house at our Gateshead workshop using compliant symbols and durable materials.
